"Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are. "~ Norman Vincent Peale
Happy Day~Dreaming Tuesday everyone! For the past week or so, I've been paying close attention to my attitude. My attitude towards everything that I do on a day to day basis. This is why I've chosen to focus on "attitude" this week and why this quote from Norman Vincent Peale is so appropriate. Because it really all comes down to our attitude about our lives when you think about it. | Aug 31, 2010 |

All I have to say is, there definitely is pure MAGIC in BELIEVING. | Aug 27, 2010 |

"What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are." ~ Tony Robbins
Anything is possible. There is magic all around us and we have the power to tap that magic and let if flow through us. All we have to do is get out of our own way . . . with our thoughts. If we believe something is possible, then it surely is POSSIBLE! | Aug 18, 2010 |

“Every great work, every great accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement comes apparent failure and discouragement” Florence Scovel Shinn
The quote above also influenced today's Day~Dreaming Tuesday message for the Dream Circle. I came across it at the perfect time . . . like all things; we receive them at just the opportune moment. For the past couple of days, I've been feeling this new wave of change happening . . . a new SHIFT. I went through one not too long ago and wonderful things happened in my life. This time, it's an even bigger shift that seems to be coming to fruition. So, it's no wonder that I've been feeling a bit out of sorts lately. | Aug 10, 2010 |

If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking. ~ Buddhist Saying
Aaaack! If you read my Dream Circle message for this Day~Dreaming Tuesday, then you know that the day was a bit of a struggle for me. It was one of those days where I found myself having to reach for better-feeling thoughts on a constant basis. | Aug 3, 2010 |

Listen to the mustn'ts child.
Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn't haves, the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen child.
Anything can be.
-Shel Silverstein
Oh boy . . . So, I just found this quote from Shel Silverstein and I burst out crying. For those of you that might now know this, I cry a lot . . . and furthermore, I like it. I've been doing it since I was very young. Like, you should have seen me when Mrs. Garrett left "The Facts of Life"! Even though I'm pretty much a happy person nowadays, I still cry whenever I feel like it. It's cleansing . . . | Jul 28, 2010 |

Well, it's been a week since my last post which included Elizabeth Gilbert's fantastic TEDtalk on Creativity. Her video received quite a bit of a response and I'm so happy that it got so many of you thinking and that it touched something deep within all of us. I have taken my own prescription and I have seen that video every single day for the past week. Thanks to the creative minds over at Apple, I have been able to see it and listen to it on my iPhone in the middle of a long commute, while walking the city streets and in bed. After all of these repeated viewings, my daemon and I came up with the following: | Jul 21, 2010 |

Here's my prescription for ALL CREATIVE PEOPLE (and well, EVERYONE): See this TED Talk by Elizabeth Gilbert at least once a day for a week. After that, start seeing it once a week for a month. After that, take it to once a month . . . for as long as you need to | Jul 13, 2010 |

"I desire to take that definition [of Optimism] to heart and live those words on a daily basis. To put the MOST FAVORABLE construction upon actions and events . . . NO MATTER WHAT! To anticipate THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME . . . NO MATTER WHAT! To SEEK and therefore FIND that damn silver lining because I know, I KNOW that it's there. In every single thing that happens and comes my way. I'm gonna construct a big shiny O - made of pure golden magical threads - and this O will be my new window to view the world out of ." ~ Gene-Manuel | Jul 10, 2010 |

"I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else." ~ Winston Churchill
I absolutely LOVE this definition of the word optimism:
OPTIMISM: an inclination to put the most favorable construction upon actions and events or to anticipate the best possible outcome. | Jul 7, 2010 |

It is our business to go as we are impelled. - D. H. Lawrence
Some of you might already know this, but, I'm upgrading this blog to include a video series, also titled The Daydream Chronicles! I've been wanting to feature beautiful people that are in pursuit of their dreams or living their dreams already! With so many magical friends that are doing some pretty amazing things, I just felt the need to create a visual space in order to feature their talents. Well, today I finally took the first step in creating the series and started filming. It couldn't have been a more perfect, special and deeeeelish experience. Of course, that had a lot to do with the people I was surrounded by. The first guest to the Chronicles is my friend and IntenSati teacher, the ever-so-fabulous Erin Stutland. Behind the camera was my partner, the ever-so-fabulous-himself Jhon Centrurri. So, it was just love, love, love all around. | Jul 3, 2010 |

"Whatever you do takes time, and yet it is always NOW. So while your inner purpose is to negate time, your outer purpose necessarily involves future and so could not exist without time. But it is always secondary. Whenever you become anxious or stressed, outer purpose has taken over, and you lost sight of your inner purpose. You have forgotten that your state of consciousness is primary, all else secondary." - Eckhart Tolle
In my last entry, I posted the following questions:
Does focusing on the present and the NOW then mean we stop dreaming?
Does it mean that giving in to daydreaming and envisioning our goals and future is a waste of the present, the NOW? | Jun 30, 2010 |

"Don't let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment." -Eckhart Tolle
"I have been TRIUMPHANTLY living my life." That's what I wrote in the previous entry and for the first time in all my years of maneuvering and puppeteering this human suit, I was able to authentically feel and mean those words. In fact, I had never, ever in all my 39 years, even thought that about my life. Never! I have to tell you that it feels pretty good to say those words and mean them and have evidence, moment by moment, of the truth behind them. I was just about to write that I wished I had come to this realization sooner but, obviously, that was not possible and right NOW is the perfect time for those words to resonate so deeply within me. It's just perfect! | Jun 24, 2010 |

"Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be" ~ Eckhart Tolle
I've read these words countless times. As a fan of Eckhart Tolle's writing, I'm quite familiar with them. And, until very recently, like, this past weekend, I thought I had understood them and that I was living my life accordingly. Hmmm! Yikes! Turns out, I was wrong! That's not to say that I was completely unawakened and living my life in an ego-ruled manner but, I was identifying with form more than I thought I was. That's for sure. And whenever we start identifying with what we believe LIFE to be, meaning our work or our financial status or countless other things, then we are definitely letting our ego take control. | Jun 22, 2010 |

Day~Dreaming Tuesday entry posted a day late.
"There's room for everybody on the planet to be creative and conscious if you are your own person. If you're trying to be like somebody else, then there is isn't." ~ Tori Amos | Jun 8, 2010 |

"Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness. This is the I Am that is deeper than name and form." ~ Eckhart Tolle
Happy Day~Dreaming Tuesday! It's a bit late in the day here on the East Coast actually, but, it's still Tuesday for a few more hours on the West. ha ha!
This month, the Universe has decided to bring meditation to the forefront. Talk of meditation and meditation practices just keep popping up everywhere. I'm being invited to group meditations or we're doing it in this month's IntenSati with Erin or Patricia Moreno, the creator of IntenSati, is doing it for an entire month. Or meditation comes up in conversation or a great friend and follower on Twitter sends me a book, out of the blue. It is everywhere! Which, in my opinion, is a wonderful thing. | Jun 1, 2010 |

Happy Day-Dreaming Tuesday to all you bright lights!
Today's post is inspired by my friend, singer-songwriter Dan Reed. He is not only a brilliant musician but also a believer in the pursuit of your bliss. He is a man living his dreams and taking action on a daily basis towards their fulfillment. He also teaches us all a lesson in understanding how important it is to listen to our inner voice and share the gifts we came here to give to the world. | May 25, 2010 |

To free us from the expectations of others, to give us back to ourselves -- there lies the great, singular power of self-respect. ~ Joan Didion
Hello Bright Lights! Happy Day~Dreaming Tuesday to you! It is my hope that you have all enjoyed it as much as I have. That you have taken at least a few minutes out of this day to sit and breathe and take it all in. Take in your life and all that surrounds you at this very moment. Especially, YOU. The incredible, vibrant energy that YOU are. The perfect soul that inhabits your perfect human suit. | May 18, 2010 |

Of all our infirmities, the most savage is to despise our being. ~ Michel de Montaigne
In case you didn't know, I am a HUGE Oprah fan. Her show gets recorded every single day and I make the time to see any show that will teach me something or make me feel good. On Wednesday, I saw the show with noted author Geneen Roth. She was promoting her new book Women, Food, and God. If you click on the link, you'll see a short video with the author detailing what the book is about. The reason I bring it up is because there were many, many testimonials throughout the show and the one common thread among all of these women, including Oprah, was the feeling of NOT ENOUGH. No matter what each person spoke about, once the layers were peeled back on the problem, it all boiled down to that person not feeling like they were ENOUGH. I just sat there in stunned silence. | May 16, 2010 |

"The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper." Eden Phillpotts
As many of you know, we are celebrating the One Year Anniversary of Day~Dreaming Tuesdays and of The Daydream Chronicles!! Although it seems as if time has flown by, so many wonderful things have happened since the idea to start Day~Dreaming Tuesdays came to me in a meditation. For the past year, I've been dedicating Tuesdays to the magic of daydreaming. Wonderfully amazing things have happened on those Tuesdays. And so many people have joined in and made the pursuit of their dreams a priority for at least one day a week. | May 11, 2010 |
