Listen to the mustn'ts child.
Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn't haves, the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen child.
Anything can be.
-Shel Silverstein

Oh boy . . . So, I just found this quote from Shel Silverstein and I burst out crying. For those of you that might now know this, I cry a lot . . . and furthermore, I like it. I've been doing it since I was very young. Like, you should have seen me when Mrs. Garrett left "The Facts of Life"! Even though I'm pretty much a happy person nowadays, I still cry whenever I feel like it. It's cleansing . . .
Therefore, as I read Shel's words, they seemed to speak directly to my Inner Child. That little boy that had a special connection to the magic of this world. They spoke to the little me that knew about the magic of believing and how the impossible was always possible. The words made perfect sense to that kid that I've been able to reconnect with in the last few years.
My tears were due to the realization that I was born knowing about the possibilities that were always there. They were also for the years that I had lost my full connection to that small child and Source Energy. And then again, I cried out of happiness for finally doing my all-time best to remain connected to magic and miracles. Believing.
This week, we begin our focus on the magic of believing. In fact, one of the first books to give me a glimpse into how possible the impossible truly is, was a wonderful little book actually titled The Magic of Believing by Claude M. Bristol. I plan to get reacquainted with this miracle of a book this coming month and I really recommend it to all of you. It was the first book to open my mind to the power behind my thoughts and to the Law of Attraction.
When I first read it, I have to admit that even though it had quite an effect on me for a while, I soon forgot all about it and went back to my miserable self. It wasn't until years later, in hindsight, that I was able to see how almost all of the things that I had been asking for and believing in, at the time that I had read the book, had come to be. My only problem was the fact that since I guess I didn't fully believe, I hadn't been specific enough! Ha!
Well, now I know better. There is absolute magic in truly believing in something. When there is a full commitment to what you desire and believe in, and I mean a FULL COMMITMENT . . . no half-assed, wimpy, wishy-washy sort of/kind of commitment . . . then ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. The power that you are then able to activate, no only in yourself but in the people and things around you, is unimaginable. We were born with this power. We were born with this knowing. It's just a matter of getting in touch with it once more.
For the coming week, it's all about believing and not letting anything make us falter from what we believe in! I mean it! Whether it's believing in yourself and your abilities or those of some one near and dear to you. Let's make every effort to fully devote ourselves to the magic of believing that anything and everything is truly possible. The impossible is POSSIBLE! It's POSSIBLE for you, for me and for those around you. Let's use our miraculous energies to empower ourselves and others this week. Focus our laser-like inner vision on the dreams we desire to have manifested. Give your attention to these visions and with unwavering faith, BELIEVE in them. BELIEVE in the magic that resides in YOU! Nothing can stop us!
Peace, love and light and KEEP DREAMING!

I'd like to dedicate this entry to the memory of Joanna T. Steichen. She was a fearless woman who believed in her power to create the life she wanted. She was a big supporter of my dreams. In fact, it is her voice that can be heard in the opening of the title track to my song "Sophisticated Kink", saying, "There is Freedom in Passion." I am grateful that I had the opportunity to know her and I know that she is flying airplanes somewhere, with wanton abandon! Thank you Joanna for everything. . . SOAR!
